Why It Matters
Why Annual Electrical Inspections Matter
Most electrical problems don't announce themselves. A loose connection inside your panel can slowly overheat for months before it arcs. An overloaded circuit can degrade wiring insulation without tripping a breaker. By the time you notice a burning smell or flickering lights, the damage may already be done.
Many homes in Council Bluffs and the surrounding area are decades old, with electrical systems that have been modified, added onto, or simply aged over time. Even newer homes can develop issues from normal wear, shifting connections, or increased electrical demand from modern appliances and technology.
Electrical System Safety Check uses advanced infrared thermal imaging alongside a thorough visual inspection to catch these hidden issues early. Thermal imaging detects abnormal heat signatures that indicate developing problems — often long before any visible sign of failure appears. We scan main service equipment, distribution panels, breakers, disconnects, transfer switches, and high-load equipment connections.
Infrared thermal imaging of panels, breakers, and connections
Panel interior condition and conductor insulation inspection
Grounding, bonding, and breaker sizing verification
GFCI, AFCI, smoke, and CO detector testing
Visible NEC code violation identification
Complete written report with thermal images and priority rankings

After Your Inspection
Your Inspection Report
Following your inspection, you'll receive a complete written report that includes thermal images highlighting areas of concern, a written summary of findings, priority ranking of any issues found (Immediate / Recommended / Monitor), recommended corrective actions for each finding, and photo documentation of any deficiencies. This gives you a clear, prioritized picture of your electrical system's health.
The inspection identifies visible code concerns but does not include corrective work. If issues are found, we'll include them in your report with a priority ranking and recommendation. Any repair or upgrade work is quoted separately.
Electrical System Safety Check is recommended for homeowners with older homes (20+ years), homes with higher electrical demand from additions, workshops, hot tubs, EV chargers, or standby generators, homeowners planning to sell who want documentation, and anyone who has never had their electrical system professionally inspected.
Early detection of failure points before they cause damage
Fire risk reduction through identification of overheating connections
Improved electrical reliability across your home
Reduced emergency repair costs by addressing small issues early
Lower long-term maintenance costs with proactive care
Documentation for insurance records and home sale preparation
